Groundhog Day

They say being in a routine is a good thing but it's starting to feel a bit Groundhog Day around here. This is my week day:

6-7 woken up by Byron wanting his pre breakfast cuddle. (Byron is a cat for anyone not familiar with my household). Pin Byron down. Go back to sleep.
7:30 actual alarm goes off. Spend next 30 minutes trying to persuade my body to work.
8:00 get up. Feed cats. Water plants.
8:30 feed self while watching breakfast news and trying to persuade brain to work (except Wednesday when I have a Zoom webinaire) .
9:00 take painkillers
9:30 painkillers kicked in enough for a shower or yoga.
10:00 start work and try to persuade laptop to work.
10:30 Missy (the other less demanding cat) decides I need to supervise her eating breakfast.
11:00 start some actual productive work.
11:30 Byron decides its lunch time.
12:30 Actual lunchtime. Rest break in the garden (unless it's chucking it down).
1:15 Team Facetime call
2:00 actual productive work
3:00 brain starts to decide its time for a nap.
4:00 finish work. Feed Byron. Missy decides its time to be brushed.
4:30-5 Nap in garden (again unless it's chucking it down) .
5-6 Housework and make dinner (if I wake up from my nap) .
6-7 eat and watch evening news (and Hollyoaks)
7-8 Guitar or Bass lessons (except Thursday when I have a Zoom call with mum).
8-9 play around on Guitar or Bass
9:00 take painkillers
9- 10:30 TV time
10:30 painkillers kicked in enough to contemplate sleeping. Go to bed and lay there trying to persuade my body and brain to sleep.
11-2am actually fall asleep
3am painkillers worn off try to sleep despite this.
6-7 woken up by Byron.
Rinse and repeat until Weekend.

Weekends are a mixture of housework and rest. With a Saturday night zoom session with friends.

So yeah routine is good apparently.
